Annual Report AY12 is Ready for Viewing!

Dear Rowan College of Communication Friends:

The fall semester has begun at Rowan University, and there are many interesting things happening, not the least of which is that we have now become the College of Communication and Creative Arts.  We are now composed of six departments (Art, Communication Studies, Journalism, Public Relations & Advertising, Radio/TV/Film, and Writing Arts) and house eight undergraduate programs, two graduate programs, and a host of concentrations, specializations, minors, and graduate certifications. We finished our time as the College of Communication in AY12 with many accomplishments and interesting activities. We would like to share with you the 2011-2012 College of Communication Annual Report – the last of its kind.

We hope that you will find the document and the described activities and accomplishments to be as exciting and impressive as we do, and will continue to follow our progress as we develop new relationships and opportunities. You can keep up with us via  the Dean’s blog andCollege Facebook page.  If you have information to share with us or feedback regarding the report, please do not hesitate to contact me at

I hope your fall brings you much joy, along with the cooler weather and the beauty of the changing season.

A Welcome Back to Students of the CCCA!

Dear student of the College of Communication and Creative Arts,

Welcome to the Fall 2012 semester. We are so pleased to have you joining us – again or for the first time.
Big changes have been happening in the college recently. With the addition of the Department of Art, we have become the College of Communication and Creative Arts. Our new name reflects the full range of our program offerings.
In the college, we have 6 departments:
Department of Art
Department of Communication Studies
Department of Journalism
Department of Public Relations and Advertising
Department of Radio, Television, & Film
Department of Writing Arts
Our departments house a total of 8 majors, as well as 2 graduate programs, and multiple concentrations, minors, and specializations.
There are groups and organizations for students that operate through/around the college, providing many chances for further engagement and building of a well-rounded university experience.
In the upcoming semester, we will have some special events and speakers (including Alive Inside: The Story of Music and Memory), renovation on various facilities, and a host of other opportunities. Please be sure to check your Rowan email frequently.
